Before you open the door
A little less mystery.
Where it matters.
Clear practical notes, honest unknowns and no hidden booking step.
A concept, not a destination
The Crooked Cabinet is an original fictional venue concept. It has no verified street address, opening hours, telephone number or operating company. The images are generated visual studies, not photographs of an existing business.
Access starts with facts
A future venue should describe access in specific, measurable terms. For this concept, physical access is unknown. The website offers keyboard controls, readable text, optional hints and reduced-motion support.
Good questions. Straight answers.
Are we really locked in?
This website does not operate a real venue. The concept intends freely available exits and no physical confinement. A real operator must verify exit arrangements and explain them before a game.
Is it scary?
The Unfinished Floor and Blackout Protocol are extreme-horror stories for adults 18+, with darkness, pursuit, simulated confinement and fictional death. Read each content warning. The other four retain their gentler or uncanny moods. No website audio, flashes or automatic startles; adult previews require deliberate consent and can be paused or exited at any time.
What if we get stuck?
The browser puzzle provides three optional hints and a complete solution. The room concept includes a host-led hint system, but no real host service is offered or verified here.
How long should we allow?
The sample planner adds 15 minutes before and after the fictional 45–75-minute game. That produces a 75–105-minute example visit. These are planning assumptions, not an operating timetable.
Are the rooms accessible?
There is no physical venue to assess. Step-free routes, doorway widths, seating, toilets, hearing support, visual alternatives and evacuation arrangements are all unverified. Room pages describe design intentions only. Do not use this demo to decide whether a real venue meets your needs.
Can children play?
The Unfinished Floor and Blackout Protocol are restricted to adults 18+ in this concept and their web previews. The wider brief is aimed at adult friends and couples. No real venue supervision policy or child-suitability assessment exists. A future operator must set and verify those rules before accepting family bookings.
Which languages are available?
The entire website and sample puzzle are available in English and German. This does not establish the language support of any real game or host team.
Can I book or buy a gift?
No. The planner creates a local example with transparent sample prices. It checks no live availability, takes no payment and sends no enquiry. There are no redeemable vouchers.
What a real visit
would need.
Before this concept becomes operational, the owner needs a verified venue, safety and access assessment, actual capacity and age guidance, staffed support, live availability and reviewed booking terms.
